Start Date: April/May 2024, very flexible for an ideal fit (as early as February 2024)
End Date: This family seeks a long-term candidate for a minimum of 1 year though 2 – 4 years is ideal.
Schedule: 4-day workweek! The family is happy to guarantee 35 hours/week
Monday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, flexible if needed
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, slightly flexible if needed
Children: During the school year, their oldest attends preschool Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Their youngest may begin school in Fall 2024. The children do not attend school during the summer.
18-month-old, M. This little one is a laid-back and outgoing toddler who loves animals and playing with balls, displaying impressive coordination for his age. He's exploring his capabilities, navigating the potty-training phase, and is starting to speak more in both English and German :)
3.5-year old, M. This sweet, inquisitive and funny little boy has an incredible memory and a thirst for reading and knowledge. He is outgoing, loves meeting new people, and playing with trucks, trains, and things that move. He enjoys spending time outside in the nearby park or his backyard swing set.
Allergies: Peanuts, eggs and sesame. An EpiPen is available.

This friendly, active, and collaborative family is seeking a new partner to help guide the long-term development of their two precious boys. Their ideal nanny is safety-conscious, loving, and reliable. She is playful, proactive, and knowledgeable about child development. She takes initiative to engage their children in valuable indoor & outdoor playtime, reading, and educational experiences. She enjoys being active and playing outdoors.
Their ideal nanny favors a gentle parenting style which sets firm boundaries while walking children through understanding those boundaries, their feelings, and offering lots of soothing hugs and love. She teaches their little ones positive habits ensuring they grow to become respectful, polite, and kind-hearted individuals. She is open to reading books that have Christian content to the boys. The family has not engaged in sleep train and seeks a candidate who is comfortable assisting/rocking their youngest to sleep when needed. Dad is a
German native; so, knowledge of German would be an added plus, but is not required.
Work From Home: Both parents work from home at least one day per week, more if they have early morning calls. They are very respectful of separating and are happy to maintain boundaries during work hours; their nanny will have full reign of the downstairs.
COVID-19: Vaccination against COVID-19 is not required.
Duties will include:
Education and Play Duties
Ensure the children are safe, loved and well cared for
Engage children in play-based education that sparks creativity and encourages discovery, working towards appropriate developmental milestones for each
Spend time reading books, listening to music, and encouraging a love of learning with no screen time
Spend weekly time outdoors weather permitting
Encourage independence, emotional regulation and manners via gentle parenting techniques which set firm boundaries, but walks children through understanding those boundaries and their feelings
Household Duties
Prepare meals for the children
Drive children to and from school and activities (use family car provided)
Children's laundry
Tidying areas used
Requirements:
Meet The STEM Nanny Company's minimum requirement including 3 years of professional childcare experience, a passion for education, and more!
Provide an engaging environment that ensures their children's continued growth and development
Implement creative indoor and outdoor activities
Teach values of love, kindness, manners, and self-sufficiency
Pay: $23 - $28/hour, flexible for a perfect fit
Guaranteed Pay - 35 hours/week
Paid Time Off - 2 weeks (one week during Christmas)
Paid Sick Leave - 1 week
Additional vacation when family is on vacation
Paid Holidays - 7
A performance-based bonus of up to 3% on an annual basis
