Family Details:
Nanny Attributes Sought: Kind, gentle, growth-oriented, knowledgeable about toddlers, easy-going, playful, creative, and proactive.
Mother's Personality: Very outgoing, fun, nerdy.
Father's Personality: Fun, more introverted, nerdy.
Family's Goals and Communication Preferences: Open to new ideas, values continuous learning and growth, values diversity and emotional intelligence, prefers daily check-ins, and sharing meals.
Expectations for Nanny: High-quality childcare, management of household tasks, and coordination with household vendors such as plumbers, lawn care, etc.
About the Position: Between work, family time, and managing two homes, this family is swamped, overwhelmed and on a journey toward a better work-life balance. That is where you come in! This dual-physician household is seeking a high-quality nanny who bonds with their child and supports the smoother running of their home.
They know it’s impossible to do both at the same time, so, let’s set the stage: Dad travels for work. He is away for one week and home for the next. During the weeks dad is away, you’ll have a childcare-focused week. In this role, they seek a proactive, playful, and gentle nanny who is passionate about working with toddlers and engages their daughter in fun, creative activities. Their ideal nanny guides her through learning to recognize and express her feelings and needs.
During the weeks dad is home, you will have a house-manager-focused week. Imagine there’s a minor plumbing issue, you’ll be responsible for calling, securing, and paying the individual who will fix it. You will coordinate the lawncare workers, cleaners, run errands, take the pets to the groomers, grocery shop, and more. These weeks may include a few hours of childcare.
This family believes in growth, learning, and collaboration. They are open to new ideas and seek a nanny who takes initiative and is receptive to feedback. Their ideal candidate will present or implement improvements for their child's well-being and run smoother household operations.
This family values diversity and teaches compassion for all beings. They value open-mindedness and are committed to ensuring an emotionally intelligent environment that acknowledges their daughter’s feelings without judgment. They hope to collaborate with a nanny who aligns with these values and is equally invested in their child's emotional and overall development!
Work from Home: Neither parent works from home, but mom works about 3 minutes from the home and would love to have lunch together with their little one.
COVID-19: COVID-19 vaccination and booster are preferred. Dad works with critically ill infants and mom works with immunocompromised adults. Most importantly, they seek someone who takes reasonable precautions to avoid exposing their family to COVID or other illnesses (flu, etc.)
Travel: While travel is not required, they would love to have you! They may have some upcoming 3 to 4-day ski or hiking trips. Pre-pandemic, they did yearly mission trips to Kenya and would be thrilled if you were interested in joining.
