Full-Time, Live-Out

Location: Richmond, 77406

Pets: A sweet pair of cats

Start Date: As soon as they meet an ideal fit

End Date: A minimum of 1 year, though ideally for many years to come! (Note, the schedule will likely change when their oldest begins school.)

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Occasional weekends are ideal!

Children: Their older children attend school Monday - Friday, until ~2:30 PM with summers off.

• 2-year-old, M. This sweet guy loves to sing and dance and is always ready to put on a performance. You can find him banging pans in the kitchen, turning it into his personal concert stage.

• 4-year-old, F.  Looking for a little helper? This little one loves to bake and help with chores. You can find her leading the charge during clean-up time and asking to make tasty cookies or muffins.

Both parents are full-time entrepreneurs in fields they love! As each of their positions requires lots of forward-facing human interaction, they bring a calmer self to their home. They prioritize family time daily and appreciate their nanny for how she/he helps bring balance to their lives. They seek a nanny who will become a genuine partner in their parenting team.

This is a child-focused position! As lifelong learners and avid readers, these parents are deeply invested in the creative and intellectual development of their children. They believe in nurturing the unique strengths and interests of each child, whether that be painting, exploring the outdoors, or learning about dinosaurs. They value a balance of structured learning activities and free play, allowing the children to develop at their own pace while also encouraging their natural curiosity. They seek a nanny who understands and aligns with their child-rearing philosophy and can provide the children with rich and diverse learning experiences.

They maintain an emphasis on healthy, whole living that included balanced meals, physical exercise, and mindfulness practices such as yoga and meditation. They would love to meet a nanny who can support such practices in their home, and it's a big plus if you can bring your own knowledge or practice to the table.

Their ideal candidate has at least 3 years of nanny experience. They would love to meet a nanny who speaks Spanish, French, or German!

Duties will include the following.

Education Duties

• Engage children in creative and interactive indoor and outdoor play

• Create weekly plans for engaging activities and outings

• Make everyday moments, teachable moments

• Teach good habits and promote healthy living

• Engage their children in play-based education that sparks creativity and encourages discovery and exploration

Household Duties

• Prepare children's meals

• Light cleaning related to the children

• Safely drive children to and from activities

Requirements:

• Meet The STEM Nanny Company's minimum requirement including 3 years of professional childcare experience, a passion for education, and more!

• Keep learning fun! Provide an exciting, engaging environment that ensures their children's continued growth and development.

• Maintain open communication and a collaborative relationship with the parents

• Implement exciting, engaging indoor and outdoor activities that contribute to their children's continued growth and development

• Teach values of confidence, kindness, and self-sufficiency.

Pay: $24 - $28/hour

• Guaranteed Pay - 40 hours/week

• Paid Time Off - 2 weeks

• Paid Sick Leave - 1 week

• Paid Holidays - 9
