Full-Time, Live-Out
Location: Galleria Area, 77056
Pets: None
Start Date: Flexible, any time between now and January 2, 2022
End Date: 1-year agreement though the family is hopeful to meet a candidate who will remain with their family for years to come.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
When their little one begins school, the hours may transition to 7:00 AM ~ 3:00 PM
Occasional later end time until 5:00 PM
Children: 5-year-old, F. This curious, intelligent little one loves to tinker and understand how things work. She is highly sensitive and caring so patience, love, and kindness are the secret ingredients to any successful outcome. Anticipate lots of high-fives, encouraging words, and creative play. She is discovering independence and is excited to cut her own fruit or lend you a helping hand!

About the Position: This friendly, collaborative family is seeking a long-term partner in care. Both parents are patient, communicative, and excellent problem solvers and seek these traits in their nanny! Their ideal provider is kind, gentle, and prioritized these characteristics in her care. She has a passion for guiding children and teaching through real-world scenarios. She helps teach their daughter to learn to problem-solve and explains the logic behind making great decisions.
Their ideal provider brings positive energy to their little one and their household. She helps their daughter express gratitude for the big and small blessings in our lives. She is a patient provider who helps their daughter build confidence and developed an attitude of "I can do this!"
They seek a candidate is organized, maintains a consistent daily schedule and who gets their daughter excited about learning. This includes incorporating learning into everyday experiences such as practicing fractions while baking and through fun, hands-on activities that prepare her for Kindergarten.
Their daughter speaks fluent Spanish and English so someone who speaks Spanish would be great though is not required.
Work From Home: The family lives in a townhome. Mom works from home on the 1st floor and the nanny will have the 2nd and 3rd floors as her domain. Their ideal provider is confident and facilities care with independence.
COVID-19: Both parents are vaccinated against COVID-19 and seek a candidate who is fully vaccinated (the booster is optional), continues to exercise caution in crowded areas, and communicates openly regarding exposure.
Duties will include:
Play and Education Duties
Ensure their child is loved, supported and well guided
Implement and maintain a hands-on, engaging learning environment
While the child is not in school, engage in play-based education that encourages their individuality, discovery, and exploration
When the child begins attending school, create activities that reinforce her school's teaching
Assist with homework and school projects to ensure understanding, accuracy, and completion
Household Duties
Light meal preparation or cooking as time allows
Dishes
Child-related duties include facilitating laundry and keeping areas used throughout the day clean
Organize children's areas including their closet and playroom
Teach self-sufficiency by prompting the child to clean their toys and doing their dishes when appropriate
Requirements:
Meet The STEM Nanny Company's minimum requirement including 3 years of professional childcare experience, a passion for education, and more!
A proactive and organized provider
Maintain open communication and a collaborative relationship with the parents.
Provide an engaging environment that encourages their child's curiosity and exploration
Implement interactive indoor and outdoor activities that contribute to their children's continued growth and development.

Pay: $24 - $29/hour, flexible for a perfect fit
Guaranteed Pay - 40 hours/week
Paid Umbrella Leave - 2 weeks
